History of the Funeral Home

A Tradition of Service, Compassion, and Community.

Bocchinfuso Funeral Home has been part of Thorold’s history for decades. Built in 1972 as a funeral home — originally known as the Lamb Funeral Home, founded by Bill Lamb — it has long been a place of care and comfort in the heart of downtown. In 2015, the funeral home was purchased by husband-and-wife team Rick Westlake and Kelly Liddycoat, continuing its legacy as Thorold’s premier family-run funeral home for more than 47 years.

With extensive professional experience, Rick and Kelly are dedicated to guiding families through every burial, entombment, or cremation need with compassion and respect. Rick holds a Business diploma from Fleming College in Peterborough and a Funeral Services diploma from Humber College in Toronto. Kelly began her career after earning her Hairdressing and Cosmetology license, working in funeral homes for several years before also achieving her Funeral Director’s license through Humber College. Together, they bring a wealth of knowledge, skill, and heartfelt dedication to every family they serve.

Our compassionate and experienced staff are here to guide you with understanding and support every step of the way.

Designed to offer comfort and peace, our facilities provide a welcoming place for remembrance and reflection.

Proud to give back through programs, partnerships, and events that support and strengthen our community.
