Welcome to Bocchinfuso Funeral Home

Meet Dora – Our Wonderful Grief Support Dog!

Dora is one of the more common faces you will see around the funeral home, but maybe not what you are expecting!  She joined Rick and Kelly’s family in December 2021, and quickly showed her calm, gentle manner.  This translated into Dora coming to work and then greeting families who were grieving.

This rescue dog from the Humane Society of Greater Niagara was meant to be!  Comfort animals are not service dogs; they simply provide a peaceful presence in situations where people are experiencing stress, anxiety, or emotional distress.  Dora is available, upon request, to attend visitations, but is also often in the building on a day-to-day basis.  She doesn’t jump, and won’t go out the door, but she loves pets, and may even offer a kiss or two!

Sandra’s Home Health Care Services Inc. would like to convey our sincere gratitude for your contribution to our September 30th fundraiser for Hospice Niagara! The event was a huge success, and we were able to present Hospice a cheque for $2502.30. It is wonderful to see the community come together for this great cause, and this event would not have been possible without the generosity of all of our donors. Thanks again, and wishing you all the best!
